v.(动词)postpone是及物动词,基本意思是“延期”“推迟”,一般指有意地拖延且通常拖延到某一确定的时间。后面跟延期或推迟的日期或其他修饰语。所延长的时间常用for引出,有时也可省略,延到某时则用to, untill或till。
postpone可接动名词作宾语,但不能接动词不定式。
